GEOTECHNICAL INSTRUMENTATION AND MONITORING PLATTSBURGH (SARANAC STREET) FORMER MGP SITE

As part of our ongoing partnership with NYSEG, we were tasked with providing geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring services for the former Saranac Street MGP Site in Plattsburgh. Our team worked closely with NYSEG to develop a comprehensive plan to monitor ground vibrations during construction activities at the site.

The goal of this project was to ensure that all construction activities would not cause any adverse effects on nearby structures or utilities. This was especially important given the sensitive nature of the former MGP site and its potential impact on the surrounding community.

Our team installed a network of vibration sensors around the perimeter of the site to measure ground vibrations in real-time. These sensors were also connected to an automated system that allowed us to remotely monitor data and receive alerts if
