National Coast Guard Museum – Amtrak: Geotechnical & Track Monitoring
The National Coast Guard Museum is located at 27 Water Street, New London, and is currently ongoing. This project involves interactive and immersive experiences, state-of-the-art exhibits, more than 600 artifacts, and 5,000 images. The museum will feature an 80,000-square-foot glass-enclosed space with waterfront views and STEM-based educational programs. The Coast Guard, founded in 1790, is known for its motto, “Semper Paratus – Always Ready”. Vanguard Construction Solutions’ role in this project included Geotechnical Monitoring and Track Monitoring. Specific monitoring services offered were Amtrak Track Settlement Monitoring Services, Vibration Monitoring Services, and Remote Crack Gauge Monitoring.
